Thespian with an uppercase “T” refers to a member of the International Thespian Society, the world’s largest honor society for theatre students. The designation “Thespian” includes student members who excel in technical and production fields as well as performance in their high school theatre.

Westfield competed in the VHSL Regionals at Lake Braddock H.S and won second place.  They will be going on to VHSL State Competition on March 3 in Charlottesville. 

In addition to their 2nd Place award, Madeleine Bloxam and Mitchell Buckley received Honorable Mention for best actress and actor.

Westfield High School  competed in the VHSL for Theatre at Herndon High School.  Competing against other area high schools, the Oleanna cast won several awards for their outstanding performance. Madeleine Bloxam won Best ActressMitchell Buckley won Best Actor and Westfield HS won 2nd Place (1st went to Chantilly HS).  

The Washington Area Theatre Community Honors  judges selected Senior, Chaz Coffin, as a nominee for Outstanding Featured Actor for his performance as Seaweed in The Alliance Theatre's production of Hairspray.  The award ceremony will be held March 11, 2012.
